Join the over 200 volunteers who help JFS of Metrowest provide vital social, health, and community services to alleviate suffering, enhance lives, and support people in need.  Whether you’re looking to volunteer on a short-term or long-term basis, we have the flexible and meaningful opportunity for you.

HELP JFS ACCELERATE SOCIAL, ACADEMIC, AND HEALTH EQUITY.

Patient Navigator
Help frail older adults get the medical care and information they need to manage their health, improve their quality of life and live independently in the community.  Our next Patient Navigator training is March 9th.

Warm Connections
Bring joy and companionship to a lonely, isolated elder. Volunteers are matched with an elder and create opportunities to connect with neighbors, friends, family and the community.

Kehilla Connectors
Kehilla Connectors matches older, isolated Jewish adults with volunteers/volunteer families who provide companionship and transportation to Shabbat services and to other religious and/or cultural events.

Healthy Aging
Provide opportunities for social interaction with elders living independently in the community. Volunteers interact and engage over a group lunch, and as needed, serve lunch and assist with after-lunch programming.

Homework Dinners
Students and parents are invited to school for a family meal and to do homework in a supported environment. Volunteers help serve food, assist parents and students with homework, organize and hand out basic needs items provided to families at the dinner.

Healthy Harvest
Improve families’ access to healthy, fresh produce. Depending on location, volunteers either pack the produce into bags for families to collect or assist families in selecting produce.

Pathways to College Success
Reduce barriers to success faced by first-generation college students.  Use your professional experience to serve as a mentor in Mass Bay Community College classrooms.  Build connections between course material and life by providing students with real-life examples.

IT Volunteer
Assist our dedicated staff by verifying all JFS laptops are virus free and are up-to-date. Follow written instructions to run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Windows updates, and either Microsoft Essentials or Windows Security.
