We are happy to announce that the JFS Lucy and Joe Press Food Pantry has been selected for Stop & Shop’s Bloomin’ 4 Good Program!

Brighten up your day with a bouquet of flowers that fights hunger in the local community! JFS of Metrowest has been selected by local Stop & Shop store leadership as the benefiting hunger organization in the Stop & Shop Bloomin’ 4 Good Program for the month of October!

The Stop & Shop Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, which launched in February 2021, is an easy way for shoppers to give back as part of the regular shopping routine. Every $10.99 Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet with the red circle sticker (pictured above) sold at the store located at 235 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham MA supports JFS’s JFS Lucy & Joe Press Food Pantry. About the Lucy and Joe Press Food Pantry:

Each week, JFS Family Assistance case managers get calls from people in crisis who are having to choose between feeding their children and paying bills like rent or heat. Food insecurity is a growing problem across the country and for many in the Metrowest area, hunger is a real and terrible burden. Established in 2006 and named in honor of philanthropist Joe Press and his wife Lucy, the JFS Food Pantry provides emergency food assistance to frail elders and families in our community to meet basic nutritional needs. As part of the JFS Family Assistance Network, this short-term aid puts food on the table while our experienced case managers guide clients out of crisis and help them get the support and resources needed for stability.

The JFS Food Pantry is supported through private and corporate donations and partners with schools, synagogues, and other community agencies to organize collection drives. The need is constant and growing.

Please, help us help families in crisis. Contact us for more information or donate today!
