We are happy to announce that the JFS Lucy and Joe Press Food Pantry has once again been selected for Stop & Shop’s Bloomin’ 4 Good Program!
Looking for a simple way to brighten someone’s day and make a meaningful impact in your community? This February, your flower purchase can help fight hunger!
We’re thrilled to announce that JFS of Metrowest has been selected by Stop & Shop store leadership as the benefiting hunger relief organization in the Stop & Shop Bloomin’ 4 Good Program for the entire month of February!
How It Works:
The Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, launched in 2021, makes it easy to give back while going about your everyday shopping. When you purchase a specially marked $10.99 Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet at the Stop & Shop located at 235 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham, MA, a donation will be made to support the JFS Lucy & Joe Press Food Pantry—helping local families put food on the table.
Why It Matters:
Food insecurity remains a pressing issue in our community. According to Feeding America, every $1 donated to a local hunger relief organization can provide 10 or more meals for someone in need. By choosing a Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet, you’re not just buying flowers—you’re helping to provide essential food support to local families.

About the Lucy and Joe Press Food Pantry:
Each week, JFS Family Assistance case managers get calls from people in crisis who are having to choose between feeding their children and paying bills like rent or heat. Food insecurity is a growing problem across the country and for many in the Metrowest area, hunger is a real and terrible burden. Established in 2006 and named in honor of philanthropist Joe Press and his wife Lucy, the JFS Joe and Lucy Press Food Pantry provides emergency food assistance to vulnerable older adults and families in our community to meet basic nutritional needs. As part of the JFS Family Assistance Network, this short-term aid puts food on the table while our experienced case managers guide clients out of crisis and help them get the support and resources needed for stability.
The JFS Joe and Lucy Press Food Pantry is supported through private and corporate donations and partners with schools, synagogues, and other community agencies to organize collection drives. The need is constant and growing.
Please, help us help families in crisis. Contact us for more information or donate today!
