Did you know that there are many individuals and families in the Jewish community who are suffering and struggling to make ends meet? Often, a job loss, a divorce, a medical emergency or other unforeseen circumstance can propel a stable situation into financial ruin.
In this video you will hear from one client as she talks about how JFS responded when after a divorce, she needed help for herself and her children. In partnership with CJP and as part of the Anti-Poverty Initiative, JFS’ Family Assistance team quickly responded to her call for help, working with her to identify needs and come up with solutions, then engaged community partners to ensure this family had the supports necessary to transform crisis into hope and stability.
80% of JFS’ operating budget is supported by philanthropic dollars and it is only with contributions from donors like you that JFS is able to fulfill needs such as these. Learn more about JFS’ work in the Jewish community and how you can get involved.
