This month to celebrate the holiday season and bring cheer to clients in need, Board Member Michelle Bearak hosted over 20 friends and family members for an evening of wrapping and giving. Guests brought new hats, gloves and throw blankets that were wrapped as gifts for over 50 vulnerable, isolated older adult clients.
At another event held at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, the community came out to donate and prepare gifts for an additional 50 older adult clients. Among the many who participated were Board Member Denise Rosenblum, former Board Member Barbara Shapiro, and staff members from Dia Feliz Adult Day Health Center in Framingham.
Gifts will be distributed to vulnerable older adult clients throughout Metrowest to let them know that they are not alone this holiday season and to wish them a Happy New Year.
Many thanks to all who donated, participated in these events, and support JFS’s work in the community!
