Featured Speaker:
Jill Betz Bloom, PhD

Dr. Bloom is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at William James College where she also serves as Director of the Global Mental Health Concentration, Co-Director of the Center for Multicultural and Global Mental Health and Faculty Member of the African and Caribbean Mental Health Concentration.

Dr. Bloom is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and holds a Certificate in Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery, from the Harvard Program In Refugee Trauma, Orvieto, Italy.

Dr. Bloom is on the Editorial Board of International Perspective in Psychology, Research, Practice, Consultation, and is a Journal Reviewer for International Psychology Bulletin; Journal of Social and Political Psychology; Journal of Cross Cultural Psychology; Psychological Trauma: Theory, Research, Practice; Journal of Religion and Health; and book reviewer for Women’s Psychological Quarterly. She herself has published extensively on topics related to Global Mental Health and Cultural Diversity, Transnational Feminism, Gender Violence, Sex Trafficking, Sexual Exploitation and Women’s Sexuality, among other trauma related areas.

Dr. Bloom has been and remains a valued JFS partner, having assisted significantly in the trauma-informed resettlement work of the Syrian Humanitarian Resettlement Project.
