Join us for a time of meaningful and creative activity at the JFS Memory Café on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 1:00-2:30pm, where we’ll explore the healing power of art together.
This month’s gathering will feature a special art therapy session led by Eileen Winston, M.D., a compassionate Geriatric Care Manager with JFS. Dr. Winston will guide participants through a relaxing and engaging painting activity—no experience necessary, just a willingness to try something new!
All painting supplies will be provided, and the program is open to all members of the community.
Art can be a powerful way for individuals with memory loss to express themselves, connect with others, and experience joy in the moment. According to the American Art Therapy Association, art therapy can significantly reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness, and serve as a meaningful form of communication when words become harder to find.
Individuals living with memory loss and their caregivers are invite attend – if you are looking for a supportive, creative community, this event is for you.
Come paint with us, connect, and create something beautiful together.
The JFS Memory Cafés are held the second Wednesday of each month at Temple Beth Am, 300 Pleasant Street, Framingham, MA.
