More than 40 Rashi School middle school students recently took part in the second session of this year’s JFS/Rashi Learning and Leadership Council, a collaboration between JFS of Metrowest and The Rashi School.

This four-part series invites students to explore leadership as a public act and develop the skills to become “change makers” who create impact around issues they care about.

This month’s session, Spheres of Influence and Relational Engagement and Leadership, was facilitated by Brett Lubarsky of Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP). Through interactive activities and reflection, students examined how relationships and community networks can shape change. They mapped their own spheres of influence, identified connections that matter, and practiced strategies to engage others and mobilize their leadership effectively.

Upcoming sessions will guide students to explore the values that drive their leadership and move toward “leadership in action,” applying what they’ve learned to real-world issues.

The energy and thoughtfulness of these young leaders continue to inspire all involved in this meaningful partnership between JFS and Rashi, and JFS is honored to take part in helping guide the leaders of tomorrow.
