JFS of Metrowest is proud to co-sponsor this important event. Join Jews of the Americas (JOTA) and Fuente Latina for an exclusive screening and discussion of “7/10: Testigos del Terror” (“10/7: Witnesses of Terror”).
This groundbreaking film is the first documentary to chronicle the Hamas massacre as told by Israel’s Spanish-speaking Latin American community—the largest immigrant group attacked on October 7, 2023. Produced by Fuente Latina in partnership with the Immigrant Archive Project, the documentary preserves the firsthand testimonies of dozens of survivors interviewed soon after the attack.
Through these powerful stories, the docuseries also explores Latin American migration to Israel, the deep contributions of Latin American immigrants to the development of the kibbutz movement, and the essential role they play in the rich diversity of Israeli society. The film is presented in Spanish with English subtitles.
Following the screening, JFS of Metrowest is honored to announce that our CEO, Lino Covarrubias, will join the post-film conversation alongside JOTA Director Dalia Wassner, PhD, and Fuente Latina Outreach Director Jessica Ghitis. Together, they will discuss the historical and ongoing contributions of Latin American Jews to Israel, as well as current opportunities for collaboration across Latin, Jewish, and Latin-Jewish communities in the United States.
Cosponsored by ADL, AJC New England, CJP, Israel Policy Forum, and JFS of Metrowest.
This event is free of charge and open to the public but registration is required.
JFS is proud to support this meaningful event and the vital dialogue it fosters.
