Fran Goss Adoption Fund
Adoption Choices and JFS of Metrowest are pleased to announce the formation of the Fran Goss Adoption Fund. Through generous donations by adoptive families and friends, the fund will provide fee reduction assistance to families of modest means who would otherwise be unable to adopt.
The fund is named in memory of Fran Goss who, along with her husband Terry, were foster parents for the Adoption Choices program for nearly twenty years. During that time, they opened their home to many babies who were in transition from their birth parents to their adoptive families. As an adopted person herself, Fran found special significance in caring for these children. Fran, Terry and their two children provided the babies with wonderful physical care and unconditional love. Fran had an especially warm place in her heart for babies with special medical needs.
Whenever there was a baby in need of a temporary home, Fran and Terry made every effort to make themselves available to provide foster care. Their home was always open to both birth parents and adoptive parents, and all were made to feel very welcome. The Adoption Choices staff knew that any baby placed in the Goss home would get a wonderful start in life.
Fran passed away unexpectedly in the spring of 2011. It is our hope that this fund becomes a fitting legacy and tribute to a wonderful woman who is loved and missed by many.
