Earlier this month, JFS of Metrowest attended The Framingham Adult Resource Fair, organized in part by the Metrowest Care Connection and the Framingham Police Department. The event took place at Common Park in downtown Framingham and was a wonderful event to help community members in need of support and services. There were about twenty community partners in attendance ranging in all different aspects of assistance. Some of the resources available to clients were haircuts, clothing, food, housing, employment, mental health services, veteran resources, and recovery support. During the event you could tell many clients had a boost in confidence after receiving basic necessities.
Dámaris Medina-Hernández, Homecare Training Manager, and Justo Rosario-Lebrón organized men’s and women’s clothing with a range of sizes from the JFS Resource Room to bring to the resource fair. A handful of men came looking for job interview type clothing and luckily, we had a lot to supply them with! They left the JFS booth happy, grateful, and excited.
A huge thank you to all the community partners who participated in making this event a success!
