The Framingham Red Roof Inn has been a partner of JFS since the fall of 2020, when we started to see a number of clients living in their cars as a result of pandemic-related housing crises. The Red Roof Inn staff readily worked with JFS to provide safe shelter to these clients, who had nowhere to turn. They offered JFS affordable rates when JFS was the payor, which was enormously helpful at a time when the agency did not have dedicated funding for hotel stays.
In more recent years, we have partnered with Red Roof Inn in Framingham to house the influx of immigrants coming to Massachusetts. Our dedicated caseworkers who call the Red Roof Inn weekly express how friendly, helpful, courteous and prompt the staff is. The partnership has allowed us to respond quickly and compassionately to those struggling with homelessness, and there are no words to describe the level of appreciation felt by those receiving a warm bed and a roof over their heads while they work towards a solution to their housing instability.
Susan Delahunt, a case manager with the Immigrant Family Services program who has worked directly with the staff at the Red Roof Inn in Framingham said:
“They are immediately helpful when we need assistance trying to solve a situation. Our agency has had to call them many times for various reasons, from continuing to support one client to having multiple families staying there. They are also always respectful to our clients.”
Thank you to the Red Roof Inn for partnering with JFS to provide safe haven to our clients in need!
