Dear Friends, Supporters and Community Partners,
During our preparations for Passover, we reflect on the story of the Israelites as they leave the terrible bonds of enslavement and begin their journey of travel to a new land and freedom.
Their refugee story is from the distant past; however, it is the same story so many victims of war are living today – modern-day refugees and asylum seekers, desperate to find a new place they can call home where they can build a brighter future for their families.
At JFS, in addition to preparing for Passover, we are also preparing to welcome individuals and families from Ukraine as they seek shelter in our caring community.
