Earlier this week, Sharon resident Abby Levine visited JFS with her husband David Cunningham and children Josie and Gabe to deliver and sort hundreds of clothing items for the JFS Children’s Clothing Closet at the Framingham Public Schools Resource Room. Many of the donations came from Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics (Boston Children’s Primary Care Alliance), Abby’s workplace. To date, JFS has distributed over 5,000 items from Resource Room to families throughout the district this school year.

It is because of families like the Levine-Cunninghams that JFS is able to provide a seasonal response to the clothing needs of elementary school-age children in the Metrowest community.

About the JFS Children’s Clothing Closet at the Framingham Public Schools Resource Room: The purpose of the JFS Children’s Clothing Closet at the Framingham Public Schools Resource Room is to provide basic needs items to families throughout the district, including clothes, shoes, school supplies, personal care items, seasonal items (eg. winter coats and boots, hats and gloves), sheets, blankets, and children’s toys/games. We emphasize new and good quality items. Integral to the effort is to provide families access to resources in a dignified manner.
