If you live outside of the metro Boston area, you know that working, shopping, getting to appointments, and managing the demands of life can be very difficult if you don’t have a vehicle. For one client, who immigrated into the United States at the beginning of the year, this was the barrier that held Sergii back from reliably getting to and from his job, as he is starting his career path to become an accountant.
Sergii, his wife Darla, and young daughter have been rebuilding their lives in Massachusetts and have been looking for a car. Through JFS’ partnership with Second Chance Cars, an organization that matches working people with donated cars, the client was able to get a car in great condition. A huge thank you to Jeffery D’Amelia for donating his 2010 Subaru Outback! Another thank you to Jewish Family Service of Metrowest’s Patrick McGrath for resettlement support and Carl Lindberg from Second Chance Cars for prepping the Subaru for Sergii and his family!
If you have a car to donate and want to know that it is going to a good cause, click here to learn how you can partner with Second Chance Cars to help working individuals on the path to self-sufficiency.
