As a community-based nonprofit human services agency, JFS supports the health, safety and wellbeing of our neighbors in need with services that are focused on addressing the social determinates of health – the factors that influence the health of an individual such as employment, racism, housing status, and food insecurity. JFS addresses these factors through a wide range of initiatives, including programs that help older adults get to and manage their doctor’s appointments so they have information they need to optimize health outcomes, assist immigrants and refugees so they can become independent and self-sufficient and provide young students with weather-appropriate clothes and footwear so they grow and thrive.

The impact JFS has in our community is only possible with the support of collaborative partners such as Marty Cohen (in his role as the former President and CEO of the MetroWest Health Foundation), Yale Appliance Company and Yale Appliance Foundation. As community-conscious innovators, their partnership with JFS has made a meaningful and powerful difference in the lives of thousands of people who need help the most. Watch the video to learn more.
