JFS of Metrowest provides emergency support to refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants that have recently arrived to the Metrowest area. Many of these families have traveled from warm, tropical climates and have never experienced a New England winter before. As the temperatures drop, they are in need of warm, protective clothing and outerwear.

This year The Rashi Lower School community generously supported JFS during Sukkot to fulfill the mitzvah of helping support these families in need. Rashi parent Danielle Darish and alumni parent Helene Gelber dropped off clothes to JFS, including snow pants, hats, gloves, jackets, and umbrellas. The donations will be distributed through the JFS Resource Room at Framingham Public Schools.

Thank you to Danielle, Helene and The Rashi Lower School community for your generous support and
for helping ensure that families in need can be safely enjoy the outdoors during the cold winter months!
