Job Title: Coordinator

Primary Assignment: Homecare

Salary Range: Commensurate with Level of Education and Experience (salaried exempt employee)

Work Schedule: 40 hour- Full Time

Position Description:

Jewish Family Service of Metrowest (JFS) is a nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to accelerating social, academic and health equity and provides services to over 7,800 people in need within the Metrowest and Greater Boston regions each year, including assistance that supports the academic success of low income children, nutrition and basic family assistance for struggling families, citizenship and immigrant programs, and geriatric care management and other support services that enable frail older adults to live independently. JFS’ mission is to provide vital social, health and community services to alleviate suffering, enhance lives and support people in need.

The JFS Homecare program is growing and seeks to hire a Coordinator to assist the office team in managing staff that provide homemaking and personal care homemaking services to low-income clients in their homes.

Duties include:

  • Scheduling shifts and keeping electronic systems up to date
  • Training staff
  • Monitoring staff performance
  • Handling client complaints
  • Recommending staff for potential customers
  • Managing client files and administrative paperwork
  • Assisting with billing and payroll
  • Coordinating care with case managers
  • Ensuring compliance with all agency and contractual requirements
  • Responding to calls from direct service staff during occasional evening/weekend hours as needed
  • Attending team meetings one weeknight per month
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education (Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree) plus 3 years paid work experience or High School diploma/GED plus 3 years paid work experience (salary range contingent on educational acquisition and paid work experience)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required, Portuguese-language skills a plus
  • Prior experience working with older adults preferred
  • Prior administrative/record keeping/scheduling experience preferred
  • Ability to interact with clients in a non-judgmental, compassionate and respectful manner
  • Demonstrated ability to set limits and maintain boundaries
  • Strong ability to be part of an interactive, supportive team with high expectations
  • Ability to multi-task, operate independently and problem-solve in real time
  • Good written and oral communication skills
